Blog Entry 5: Summary of "The Allegory of the cave"

          Socrates tells Glaucon a story about humans living underground in a cave with there arms and necks chained to a wall. Socrates continues saying that the chained humans life revolves around looking at shadows.Then Socrates mentions that if one human living underground were to leave the cave and were to experience the outside world and become amazed about the experience.Finally Socrates would say that the humans inside the cave will make themselves feel better by making up honors.
